Four wins! The flexibility in the distance of the stages allows you to form your relay effectively. The highlight of the Powerade relay marathon together is the last few meters where you celebrate the extraordinary running experience together.

Competition schedule & stages
The Powerade relay marathon offers your team of four two different running distances - the stages of 15.2 & 5.9 kilometers each result in a half-marathon lap.
The relay handover zones are marked in yellow in the route map linked above (R for Relay).
The starting runner (start number A) runs from the start on the Staatsbrücke (8:40 a.m.) until the relay handover in front of the Stiegl Brauwelt.
The second runner (start number B) runs from the relay handover in front of the Stiegl Brauwelt to the relay handover at Universitätsplatz (half marathon intermediate time).
The third runner (start number C) runs from the relay handover at Universitätsplatz to the relay handover in front of the Stiegl Brauwelt.
The fourth runner (start number D) runs from the relay handover in front of the Stiegl Brauwelt to the finish in Hofstallgasse.
TOGETHER TO THE FINISHLINE – the first three runners in a relay can rejoin the race at Ferdinand-Hanusch-Platz as soon as the last runner passes. Complete the last meters together and enjoy the emotions of crossing the finish line together!
Starting documents, clothing, showers
A member of the relay team collects the starting documents for all four runners SportMall in the Eisarena Volksgarten from – Hermann-Bahr-Promenade 2.

Please pay attention to the letters on the start number, which must match the order stated when registering: A = 1st runner (running distance: 15.2 km); B = 2nd runner (running distance: 5.9 km); C = 3rd runner (running distance: 15.2 km); D = 4th runner (running distance: 5.9 km)
Fill out the back of your start numbers and attach them correctly to the outermost layer of clothing on your upper body (front). The timing chip is integrated into the start number.
During the competition you can hand in your belongings at the clothing drop-off point in the arcades of the University of Salzburg (Furtwängler Garden entrance). Only the Sparkasse starter package with your starting number will be accepted. It is not possible to drop off clothes at the handover points (in front of Stiegl Brauwelt)!
Our experienced team does its best - but we assume no liability in the event of loss.
You can leave other bags and suitcases in the tent provided and looked after by the event team for a fee of 5 euros.
Showers are available to you after the finish in the Mitte sports center, Ulrike-Gschwandtner-Straße 6. You are a good ten minutes walk from the finish area of the Salzburg Marathon.

Arrival & Parking
We recommend that you travel to Salzburg by public transport - relaxed, sustainable, sporty!
excellent train connections from the Westbahn line (from Vienna), from the Tauern line (south) and from Bavaria & Tyrol. Good connection to the international airports in Vienna and Munich.
Free arrival with the marathon train from the Salzburg mountain districts (on presentation of the start number or confirmation of registration).
International accessibility via Salzburg Airport.
You can also use public transport to get around the city during the event weekend. Your start number and your registration confirmation (start pass) are valid as a ticket in the city tariff zone on the competition days.
If you arrive by car, we recommend Park & Ride zones at the start edge and changing to the trolleybus in the city area. Paid parking garages (e.g. Mönchsberggarage) are available near the center.
Timing and scoring
Our partner will take care of the timing Datasport carried out.
The timing chip is integrated in the start number. It must not be kinked or damaged under any circumstances.
Timekeeping is guaranteed to work if the race number is worn correctly on the front of the torso, outermost layer of clothing.
Information about the start
The starting signal for the Powerade relay marathon will be on May 12, 2024 at 8:40 a.m.
For the first time, the start is on the “Staatsbrücke“ with a wonderful view of the classic old town.
All starting runners start from the last starting block of the marathon and half marathon line-up - line-up on Schwarzstrasse.
Medical supplies
The Running Festival of MozartCity offers comprehensive medical care in the finish area and on the route.
Along the route there are several refreshment points equipped with mobile sanitary facilities.
