Active together with company sports

The Chamber of Labour is once again a proud partner of the Salzburg Women's Run this year. Under the motto: Together instead of alone, the AK again represented with its own team.

Playing sport together strengthens team spirit and health. This applies in the private sphere, but also in the professional environment. The AK/ÖGB company sports programme therefore encourages tens of thousands of employees to be active every year. This is done with numerous self-organised competitions, whereby the range is extremely diverse. Table tennis, beach volleyball, paddle tennis, bowling, golf and football are just some of the activities on offer. There are also co-operations in various areas. This also includes the women's run.

Fastest natural run in the world

60 km from Salzburg, 25 km from Braunau. Top run in the Upper Bavarian pilgrimage town of Altötting. Fast, flat and wind-protected route through the forest. Great finisher medals. 21 km, 6 km and hobby run 1.3 km

The course records of a remarkable 1:01:39 and 1:08:38 hours make it the fastest natural run in the world. This also benefits "normal runners" who are improving their best times by the dozen.

Uni Salzburg runs with you - at the Salzburg Marathon 2025!

Sporty, motivated and with team spirit: At the Salzburg Marathon, the University of Salzburg once again sets a strong running example for exercise, health and community.

In 2025, we will be the largest team at the start: over 500 starters from all areas of the university - students, researchers, teaching staff and administrative employees - will lace up their running shoes and be part of this sporting highlight in the centre of the university city of Salzburg. The most attractive running route in the world leads past the university's most beautiful buildings - pure motivation for our starters!

As an educational institution, it is important to us not only to impart knowledge, but also to promote a healthy lifestyle. Learning is more than just thinking - movement strengthens concentration, performance and mental health - important foundations for success at all levels and for personal development.

The marathon offers our university community the perfect stage to show joie de vivre, endurance and solidarity - on the running course and beyond.
