The Salzburg Half Jedermannlauf is the perfect stage for you if you want to improve your half marathon personal best!
Run with the best in Austria at the ÖLV State Championships and Austrian Masters Championships on a fast course where you can find your perfect rhythm. The backdrop of the city of Salzburg and the exclusive Jedermannlauf finisher medal complete a wonderful running experience at the traditional Salzburg City Run.
The start and finish of the Salzburg Half Jedermannlauf are in the Volksgarten Salzburg, close to the city center. The route leads from the Volksgarten south along the Salzach and back through the city center on the opposite bank. The turning points are the “Hellbrunner Bridge“ in the south and the “Sohlstufe Lehen“ in the north. The route is flat and has long straights. All routes in the Jedermannlauf are measured according to the specifications of World Athletics and AIMS, and the event is also entered in the Global Calendar.

Registration for participants in the Salzburg Half Jedermannlauf took place via the platform of our timing partner Pentek Timing.
Registration for participants in the ÖLV National Championships and Austrian Masters Championships took place via the ÖLV registration platform.
Entry fee/registration fee (all processing and service fees are included in the entry fee): 45 euros (until July 28, 2024) 52 euros (until August 25, 2024) 60 euros (until September 29, 2024) 65 euros (registration on site at the Hervis store in the “Forum 1” shopping center) 70 Euro (last-minute in the Volksgarten from 8 am)
Re-registration was possible up to and including Thursday, September 26, 2024, if you did not take out entry fee insurance. Write to us office@salzburg-marathon.at and give us the details of the runner who will take your starting placeThe change of registration cost 12 euros (15 euros when collecting the start number) and was therefore much cheaper than a new registration. A change of registration from the Salzburg Half to the Salzburg 10K was also possible until Thursday, September 26th (free of charge) and on October 5th when collecting the start number (for a processing fee of 5 euros).
The minimum age for participation is those born in 2008.
We warmly recommend you to do a health check before participating!
Bib number collection & last-minute registration
The bib number collection will take place on Saturday, October 5th in the Hervis store in the “Forum 1” shopping center (directly next to Salzburg Central Station) between 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Anyone who has not pre-registered will also have the opportunity to register last-minute, provided that bib numbers are still available.
Clothing drop-off & showers
On Sunday, October 6th, you can hand in the official starter bag from Salzburger Sparkasse, which contains your start number, at the designated tents in the Volksgarten between 8am and 12pm. The tents will be looked after by the staff team. The organizer accepts no liability for theft or loss - we ask for your understanding!
The showers at the Sportzentrum Mitte (Ulrike-Gschwandtner-Straße 6) are open on Sunday, October 6th from 9:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. They can be reached in about 10 minutes on foot from the Volksgarten over the Karolinen Bridge and past the Unipark.

We recommend that you travel to Salzburg by public transport - relaxed, sustainable, sporty!
excellent train connections from the Westbahn line (from Vienna), from the Tauern line (south) and from Bavaria & Tyrol. Good connection to the international airports in Vienna and Munich.
International accessibility via Salzburg Airport.
If you are arriving by car, we recommend using the Park & Ride zones on the outskirts of the city and changing to the trolleybus in the city area. There are paid parking garages near the city center.
Timing and scoring
Our partner Pentek Timing will take care of the timekeeping.
The timing chip is integrated in the bib number. It must not be damaged under any circumstances.
Timekeeping is guaranteed to work if the bib number is worn correctly on the front of the torso, outermost layer of clothing.
In addition to the classic rankings (ranking according to official times), the Salzburg 10K Jedermannlauf offers an age-graded ranking.
Information about the start
The starting signal for the Salzburg Half Jedermannlauf will be given on October 6, 2024 at 9 a.m. on Hundertwasserallee in the Volksgarten.
