Atmospheric start to the “Get active days”

Almost 200 runners left the past working week behind at the Salzburger Nachrichten AfterWorkRun and started the weekend of the "Get active days" energetically. The start and finish line of the 5.3 kilometer route was in the middle of the Salzburg Marathon City in the Kurgarten and led the participants on the right bank of the Salzach to the Karolinen Bridge and on the opposite bank back to the Lehen Bridge. The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Salzburg's old town offered the magical setting at sunset - a magnificent running experience to get you in the mood for the coming days at the running festival in the city of Mozart.

With optimal running conditions and temperatures around 15°C, Andreas Putz (18:35 minutes) and Julia Holzinger (22:55 minutes) completed the route the fastest. At the sporty start to the Salzburg marathon weekend, however, the focus was on running and having fun. There was also a large group of participants from the Lebenshilfe Salzburg, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Enjoyable stay in the Salzburg Marathon City

After the Salzburger Nachrichten AfterWorkRun, the Styrian rapper Gerhard Fessl aka "Train D-lay" and his band, who impress with his dialect raps, provided the best entertainment at the sporty start to the Salzburg running weekend. The exclusive concert performance on the Salzburg Marathon stage warmed up the audience and invited numerous participants and spectators to spend the cozy spring evening in the Salzburg Marathon City and to ring in the upcoming weekend in a festive mood. The five delicious dishes offered in the Salzburg "Bio-Village" provided culinary organic enjoyment - all prepared from seasonally available, regional and organic ingredients.
