Junior marathon is fully booked

Almost 1,900 children and young people have registered for the Junior Marathon 2018. This means that the traditional children's and youth races set a new registration record and set a special emotional highlight on the eve of the Salzburg Marathon this year. Divided into different age groups (U6, U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18), they enjoy a wonderful running experience with start and finish at Mirabellplatz and the attractive stretch through the Kurgarten, where they can enjoy a great mood of the thousands of spectators at the edge of the track.

Registration for junior marathon closed

In order to ensure that the junior marathon runs as safely as possible, there are no longer any registration options for any age group. Not even as part of the SportMall@Salzburg Marathon. The organizing team asks for your understanding, but at the same time is very pleased that never before have so many children and young people actively taken part in the running festival in the city of Mozart.

day of sports

In addition to the races of the junior marathon, the day of sports, which the Salzburg Marathon organizes together with the LSO, is a second highlight of Saturday from 12:30 p.m. 14 sports associations and clubs offer a varied sports program in the Kurgarten to take part. No registration is required for this and participation is free of charge. Thus, all those who can no longer enjoy a starting place in the junior marathon can live out their joy of movement at the stations of the most diverse sports.
