Successful start to the running festival

Around 250 registered runners kicked off the running weekend of the Running Festival in the City of Mozart at the Salzburger Nachrichten AfterWorkRun on Friday evening. The participants completed a highly attractive running route and enjoyed the wonderful view of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Salzburg's old town along the two banks of the Salzach, over which Hohensalzburg Fortress towers. Dominik Egger (16:58 minutes) and Elina Pehab 21:37) minutes completed the 5.3 kilometer run the fastest. After the opening competition, the participants let the end of work end in an atmospheric atmosphere in the Salzburg Marathon City in the Kurgarten.

Largest sports fair in the city

The SportMall@Salzburg Marathon, which includes the collection of start numbers for all competitions of the running festival in the city of Mozart and on-site registration, is a great offer for Salzburgers interested in sports. Numerous exhibitors from Germany and abroad will be presenting themselves and their products, offers and services until 6 p.m. tomorrow. The organizer calculates around 12,000 visitors on both days of the exhibition. A highlight of the first day at the SportMall was the Sparkasse running forum with competent presentations by the experienced running coach Wilhelm Lilge and Dr. Holger Förster, Head of the Medical Service at the Salzburg Marathon, as well as a lively discussion with Salzburg's best marathon runner Peter Herzog and his coach Peter Bründl.
