Enjoy the second day of the marathon
The second day of the Salzburg Running Festival started with two competitions in which the main focus was on enjoying running and having fun with friends and family – the CUP&CINO breakfast run and the Bio Austria City Walk. More than 100 leisure runners and walkers explored the most beautiful places of the UNESCO World Heritage Site in a sporty manner.
Cup&Cino breakfast run
Saturday started at 8:30 a.m. with the CUP&CINO breakfast run, which provided a perfect introduction to a great marathon weekend. Starting from the beautiful Kurgarten in front of the Salzburg Congress, groups of 5 and accompanied by local guides went on a five to seven kilometer route through the beautiful city of Mozart. The deserved reward of the CUP&CINO breakfast run was a delicious breakfast in the CUP&CINO café.
Bio Austria City Walk
A little later, at 10:00 a.m., the next interesting competition was the Bio Austria City Walk. On a nearly 7.5 kilometer loop, the participants made an exciting exploratory trip through the old town of Salzburg at a rather leisurely pace. Starting from the spa gardens, we went over the Müllner hill to the Mönchsberg, past the Modern Museum and Hohensalzburg Fortress in the direction of Nonntaler Stiege and across the beautiful old town back to the spa gardens. The ambitious walkers had to pass five checkpoints on their "excursion" before they were rewarded with a nice pin to pin on at the end.
