Marathon4you voting: Salzburg Marathon second

For the fourth time in a row, the Salzburg Marathon took second place in the Austria rankings in the online survey conducted on the Marathon4you platform for the most popular marathon in the 2018 calendar year.

The Salzburg Marathon team would like to thank you for your support and loyalty. We are very pleased to be able to offer you a proven, high-class running experience at the 16th Running Festival in the City of Mozart from May 17th to 19th, 2019 - with some exciting innovations!

According to Marathon4you, 15,226 runners from 19 nations took part in this year's voting, which is a record result. Most of the votes went to the Rennsteig run, which for the fifth time in a row greeted from the square in the sun. The Frankfurt Marathon came in second, followed by the Jungfrau Marathon as the most popular Swiss event. The Cologne marathon completes the top 3 in the Germany ranking, ahead of the Berlin marathon. In the Swiss ranking, the SwissCityMarathon in Lucerne and the Zermatt marathon, the second most popular mountain run in Switzerland, made it onto the podium.

In the Austria ranking, the first two positions have been consistently occupied for four years. The Linz Marathon received the most votes ahead of the Salzburg Marathon, followed by the Three Countries Marathon in third place. In the overall ranking, which took into account more than 200 running events in the German-speaking region, the running festival in the city of Mozart ranked 18th.
