The countdown to the Salzburg marathon weekend starts with the ninth and final LongJog as part of the preparation for the competitions of the running festival in the city of Mozart. In the Volksgarten, this year home for the Salzburg Marathon for two days for the first time, the participants under the guidance of RunAustria head coach Johannes Langer put on the finishing touches for the goals a week later.
The starting signal for the expected refreshing running club will be given on Sunday, May 12 at 10 a.m. in the Volksgarten with a meeting point in Hundertwasserallee (please note the parking fee). The preparatory run for the competitions as part of the Salzburg Marathon and the Salzburg Women's Run, which is part of the new movement initiative "Salzburg is running!" powered by Hyundai is free and open to every running enthusiast and every running enthusiast! By being divided into different groups, all participants enjoy pleasant company and can move at their own pace.

The program for the ninth preparatory run on Sunday, May 12, 2019:
- Joint warm-up with activation, mobilization and coordination exercises
- Long jog: either calm and leisurely (35-40 minutes), committed (approx. 60-65 minutes) or marathon preparation (approx. 70 minutes pure running time, kilometer times 5:00+)
- Short run and relaxing exercises
