Traffic report Salzburg Marathon 2019

In terms of sustainability, the Salzburg Marathon can also demonstrate a lot in terms of traffic. It is the least traffic day of the year and offers perfect conditions for top sporting performance. Together with the Salzburg Transport Association and the local authorities, effective solutions were developed to regulate both runners and weekend traffic in Salzburg. The restrictions are therefore manageable and rapid progress on the competition days is possible. 

The participants in the running festival also have the option of using their start number as a ticket for public transport on the respective day of the competition. Thus, a stress-free arrival is guaranteed. The ecological concept of the Salzburg Marathon is optimally complemented with these regulations

The races will be led by an all-electric Hyundai KONA Electro. As a race manager, the e-vehicle shows the way in a sustainable manner and without stinking exhaust fumes. But the Salzburg marathon team will also ensure that the competitions in the city of Mozart run smoothly around the clock with e-bikes and bicycles.
