Marathon4you voting: Salzburg Marathon second

The Salzburg Marathon has secured a subscription to second place in the annual online voting by the Marathon4you platform for Austria's most popular marathon. Because for the fifth time in a row, the running festival in the city of Mozart took second place in the Austrian rankings.

13,783 runners, almost 1,500 fewer than last year's record participation, cast their votes for marathons and other running events in German-speaking countries in the past few weeks. The Rennsteiglauf received the most votes for the sixth time in a row. The international marathon greats Mainova Frankfurt Marathon and BMW Berlin Marathon, which is one of the six World Marathon Majors and is the third largest marathon in Europe, follow in second and third place. As in previous years, the Linz Danube Marathon was at the top of the Austrian rankings (15th place overall), closely followed by the Salzburg Marathon (18th place overall) and the Kawendel March (21st place overall). The most popular running event in Switzerland is the Jungfrau Marathon (fourth place overall), followed by the SwissCityMarathon in Lucerne (seventh place overall) and the Zermatt Marathon (23rd place overall).
