New Balance 5K Track Night on 23.06. postponed

The New Balance 5K track planned for Thursday evening, May 11th as an atmospheric introduction to the weekend program of the running festival in the city of Mozart will be postponed to Thursday evening, June 23rd. The Salzburg Marathon organizer Johannes Langer made this decision in consultation with the Salzburg Athletics Association (SLV). The reason for the short-term postponement are structural delays in the completion of the new athletics facility at the Salzburg North sports center.

Running in the stadium meets running in the street

The 5,000m races embedded in an atmospheric evening miss their premiere in the program of the running festival in the city of Mozart, but are made up for six weeks later, in the middle of the track athletics season. "We definitely want to hold the New Balance 5K Track Night, so we decided to move it to the new date," explains Langer. “It is important to me to bring running on the track and running on the road closer together. Therefore, the New Balance 5K Track Night fits perfectly into the program of the Salzburg Running Festival.”
