Think about the environment when you travel to the Running festival of MozartCity. Together we can improve the ecological footprint of the event with targeted measures!

With the regional trains from Salzburg Verkehr on the S3 railway line you can travel free of charge to the city of Mozart and back home

  • Together with our partner Salzburg Transportation Association This year we are once again sending a strong signal for environmentally friendly mobility on the weekend of the running festival in the city of Mozart – with an improved and more flexible offer for you!
  • On Sunday, May 12, 2024, the marathon train will take you from Schwarzach/St. Veit (departure 5:54 a.m.) with stops at all stations on the S3 line to Salzburg-Mülln station (arrival 7:14 a.m.). From there it is a few minutes' walk along and across the Salzach to the pre-start area on Schwarzstrasse (marathon, half marathon, relay marathon) or to the old town (10 km). The return journey is with an S-Bahn of the Salzburg transport association of your choice (until the end of operations). The start number or start pass (registration confirmation) is valid as a ticket on the day of the competition.
  • The same offer also applies for the first time to the Salzburg Women's Run on Friday and to the Saturday competitions. Upon presentation of the start number or start pass (registration confirmation), travel to and from the event on the respective competition day is free on all regional trains operated by Salzburg Verkehr on the S3 line.
