The marathon or first half marathon is a delightful challenge, but the strain shouldn't be underestimated. In addition to your realistic self-assessment and your motivating thoughts, a fitness check with your trusted sports doctor provides important clues for sensible preparation.
Your health is paramount: No matter what distance you aim for, only start if you are healthy and your body can take the strain. Then your running adventure will definitely be a pleasure.
